About Our Product

This handmade prayer butter lamp measures 14.5cm in height with a 10.5cm diameter bowl and 4.5cm inner depth. The base measures 6.5cm, and the single weight is 0.4kg. Crafted from copper and brass, this Tibetan offering lamp is traditionally used for light offerings in Buddhist rituals, meditation spaces, and home altars.

The wide upper bowl is engraved with floral vine patterns that flow evenly around the surface, symbolizing growth, devotion, and continuous spiritual practice. The mid-section features smooth brass bands that highlight the detailed copper carving. The stepped base is shaped in a classic Himalayan style, with fine etched designs that add depth and sacred character to the lamp. The balanced form reflects harmony and respect in ritual presentation.

In Buddhist practice, offering light represents wisdom and the removal of ignorance. This Tibetan butter lamp is ideal for puja ceremonies, shrine offerings, Vajrayana rituals, and daily altar practice. It serves as a Buddhist altar lamp, copper offering bowl, meditation decor piece, and traditional prayer butter lamp for spiritual spaces.

Introduction To The Butter Lamp :

Offering a butter lamp is also a deeply spiritual practice. The traditional practice of preparing a butter lamp starts by washing ones hands, wearing a mask to protect from contaminating the butter lamp through ones breath, making the wick out of pure cotton, and cleaning the chalices with a clean piece of cloth reserved for this or fresh mosses from the trees, which were commonly used in old times. The entire process is a meditative spiritual practice that engages a person both physically and mentally, provided the person knows and practices it in accordance with established norms.
